ABOUT ME
I am Eric, a Motion Graphics Designer and 2D Animator from São Paulo, a very grey and wet city, but currently living and working in London, another very grey and wet city.
I have a Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from the University of Campinas and a Postgraduate degree in New Media from the University of Lisbon.
I started working as a Motion Graphics Designer in 2012, while still doing my undergraduate course in Brazil and in 2016 I moved to Portugal. After a couple of years of work and study, I decided to move to the United Kingdom, seeking to improve even more my critical thinking and professional skills.
SKILLS
Over these 8 years, I always aimed to deliver the best designs for the projects I have worked on, were they in need of lettering animation, 3D objects (VC Element 3D), particle simulations (Trapcode Particular / Newton) or character animation (Duik or Traditional Animation). Also as an AE Compositor, I have no problems using mattes and passes to convey the client expectations into eye candy images and scenes. When needed, I can also create concept art for characters, assets and storyboards.
Recently I've been venturing out in the 3D world with Cinema 4D, but my level of experience is unfortunately not as high as it is with After Effects. However, I can already use Cloner and Falloff to create simulations and seamless animations. Usually I find my way fairly quickly.
